On July 16, 2020, this year’s RACIR Robotix-Academy Conference for Industrial Robotics took place at ZeMA in Saarbrücken. Due to the current contact restrictions caused by the Corona pandemic, RACIR was held as a web conference for the first time. With 26 connected participants, the conference was a successful event that was beneficial to both presenters and audience.
The goal of the RACIR conference is the successful networking of scientific staff and students from the individual research bases. The focus is on scientific exchange on different levels to disseminate research results, identify synergies and trends, connect stakeholders in person and ultimately further strengthen the research areas of the Robotix Academy.
The conference focuses on various aspects and trends of robotics and automation in different fields: Topics at this year’s RACIR ranged from concepts of intelligent robot control to the use of autonomous robots and diverse applications with very different requirements.
