From 04 to 05 June 2018, research associates and PhD students met at the University of Luxembourg for the 2nd RACIR – Robotix-Academy Conference for Industrial Robotics.
The research assistants, PhD students and master students from the partner universities gathered for two days in Luxembourg and presented papers on innovative research topics in industrial robotics.
On the first day of the conference, Prof. Plapper welcomed the participants before starting the first lecture series on “Human-Robotic Cooperation”. After the lunch break, the lectures on “Advanced robot kinematics/dynamics/control” started. Following each lecture, the plenary was able to ask questions to the speaker and start a discussion. The first conference day ended with a special team event – the conferees visited a Secret Room, which could only be left by successfully solving a puzzle together.
The second conference day started with the topic “Robotic assistance for assembly and disassembly tasks”, and two interesting presentations were given. This was followed by the last series of lectures “Robots Manipulation – Process Automation”.
The breaks between the lectures on the two days of the event were used constructively by the participants – discussions were initiated, conversations deepened and experiences exchanged.
