On April 19, the second edition of the lecture Advanced Robotics started. The lecture will now take place every summer semester and will be offered in an online format. All Robotix Academy partner universities participate and present advanced robotics topics.
This year, 26 students, including four female students, registered for the lecture; over half of the participants came from Saarland University, with the remainder coming from the University of Luxembourg and the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.
Over a six-week period, a total of 12 modules will be offered, during which interested students will learn what processes and tools are important to develop efficient and intelligent robotics applications that used sensory data and AI methods.
Advanced Robotics covers topics such as integration of sensors, data planning, and QM and TM. In addition, applications of robotics in the automotive and aircraft industries will be discussed. An introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a focus on robotics is provided. Students will learn here using simulations.
In addition, the topic of logistics and its relation to robotics will be presented. In this context, the topic of mobile robotics is also addressed. The use of robotics in the environmental and health sector will also be a focus of the lecture.
