On Saturday, September 26, ZeMA participated in the 11th action day “Inspire for technology” in the Quartier Eurobahnhof Saarbrücken. The event was aimed at female pupils aged 14 and over from all schools in Saarland or with a place of residence in Saarland.
In various workshops, around 30 schoolgirls were able to gain an insight into the world of technology: A broad spectrum of technical innovations was on offer, which the girls could approach without fear of contact and test their technical skills.
In its workshop “Man and Robot – The Dream Team”, ZeMA provided hands-on robotics: The scientific staff was able to clarify terms such as mechatronics, human-robot cooperation (HRC), and safety requirements for handling the robot and answer the young people’s questions. Using the example of a game of tic-tac-toe against a robot, the schoolgirls were able to learn how robots work, how they can be programmed and how humans and robots can work together.
