On October 10, at the invitation of the Managing Authority, interested parties and program partners met at the Neumünster Abbey Cultural Center in Luxembourg for the launch event of the new Interreg Greater Region 2021-2027 program.
The new cooperation program was presented and the goals and perspectives for cross-border cooperation were discussed in a panel discussion with political representatives of the program partners.
The event provided a good opportunity to learn about the priorities of the new Interreg Greater Region 2021-2027 cooperation program – “A greener, more social and citizen-oriented Greater Region with better governance in terms of cooperation” – and to find new project partners for new project ideas.
More than €180 million in funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is available from the EU for cross-border cooperation in the Greater Region. The Saarland wants to contribute especially to the funding axis “green Europe” and focus on projects for the circular economy, said Minister of Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke.
The first call for projects runs from 15.11.2022 to 31.01.2023.
