Coffee break on the topic of reinforcement learning

On March 10, Xiaomei Xu, PhD student at ZeMA and research associate at the Robotix Academy, was able to present her demonstrator “Intelligent robot system for solving dissection puzzle” at a Coffee Break.

Using various machine learning methods (reinforcement learning) such as K-nearest neighbor, decision tree, or Deep Q network, the robot autonomously learns a strategy to lay a tangram game.

The half-hour webinar took place as part of an AI trainer event organized by the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center Saarbrücken (KomZet), for which a good dozen researchers and scientific staff from the institutes of the Competence Center had registered.
