On April 26, 2021, the first exchange of the newly founded German Robotics Association e.V. (DRV) took place with the virtual “fireside evening”.
The moderation was taken over by Robert Weber, who quickly created a relaxed and at the same time productive atmosphere. Robert Weber is well known in the industry, as is his podcast. Several dozen integrators, distributors, manufacturers, researchers (chairs) and also some users had dialed in. The users were mainly from the SME sector.
After the entertaining presentation of the board of directors, the individual specialist areas of the association were introduced. The following specialist areas currently exist:
– Application technology
– Research coordination and funding projects
– Legal requirements, standardization and safety
– Investment promotion and corporate financing
– School education and extracurricular training
– Technology radar “Smart robotics for all
This was followed by a round of introductions and getting to know each other. The Robotix Academy was represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Vette-Steinkamp from the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld, Trier University of Applied Sciences.
