Despite the constraints imposed by the Corona pandemic, the scientific staff of the University of Luxembourg actively participated in various international conferences as part of the Robotix-Academy.
Dr. Atal Kumar attended the IEEE International Conference on Digital Futures and Transformative Technologies (ICoDT2 – 2021) in Pakistan from May 20-21, 2021, as well as the IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering in Lyon (August 23-27, 2021) and RACIR 2021 (September 22, 2021) in Birkenfeld, to name a few.
Abir Gallala, who is in the final year of her PhD, presented a paper at ICECET in Cape Town by distance learning. Alexej Simeth attended RACIR and an IFAC (International Federation on Automatic Control) conference, where he presented research results obtained using AI and machine learning algorithms.
Robotix-Academy project partner University of Luxembourg also attended the ICT Spring conference in Luxembourg on September 14-15, 2021 to further network and perpetuate the research cluster. ICT Spring Europe is an international tech conference held annually in Luxembourg to present the latest relevant trends and innovations and discuss their impact on society and the world of work.
Industry visits were also conducted during the year to establish company contacts and attract potential collaboration partners.
