On December 10, 2021, the scientific staff of the Robotix Academy conducted a workshop on 3D printing at Doppler GmbH in Saarbrücken. Doppler GmbH is a medical supply retailer with orthopedic technology and orthopedic shoe technology focused on offering and individually fitting orthotics and mobility aids of all kinds.
The aim of the workshop was to familiarize Doppler GmbH employees with the commissioning and operation of the 3D printer and to advise them on the possible parameter settings for 3D printing.
With the help of this manufacturing process, orthopedic aids can be produced with a very precise fit. In order to be able to test the 3D printer and its handling, ZeMA initially loaned the device to Doppler GmbH.
