The Fond National de Recherche FNR, the national funding agency of Luxembourg, organized from March 14 to 18 interactions/discussions between local researchers (having obtained or preparing their PhD) and secondary school students.
Researchers from all scientific disciplines described to the students their life as a researcher: from their beginnings as a student, to their motivation for one or another scientific discipline, to the first steps in their professional life, to the challenges and career opportunities.
For the teenagers, it was an ideal opportunity to ask the researchers all the questions that come to mind and to receive information about the advantages, but also the possible disadvantages, of being a scientist. Dr. Atal and Mr. Natago’s team visited several schools during the week and had in-depth discussions with the students, taking with them the mobile robot and hololens available in the lab.
