On March 16 and 17, 2022, this year’s Student Information Days took place at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld (UCB). High school students had the opportunity to inform themselves about the study programs offered and to gain insights into everyday study life at the Umwelt-Campus. In addition to a whole series of information booths, there were lectures from various areas of STEM study programs as well as business and law study programs.
Prospective students from the upper grades of secondary schools, as well as those interested in studying via several years of work experience and a completed apprenticeship, were given advice on what to expect during their studies and what enrichment an academic education can be for their own career.
The employees of the Robotix-Academy informed about the manifold topics of robotics. A new demonstrator for human-technology interaction was used to illustrate how far-reaching and interdisciplinary robotics is. A lecture provided insights into the current state of the art as well as the future importance of robotics in the context of a more environmentally friendly and resource-saving circular economy.
