On Friday, 01.04.2022, students of the engineering university IMT Mines d’Albi from Southwest France visited the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld (UCB) and here the partners of the Robotix-Academy.
The students of the partner university from Albi come from different engineering disciplines and arrived together with their lecturers. On site, they were able to extensively exchange information on various sustainability topics with their colleagues based in Birkenfeld. The students informed themselves in detail about the topics of remanufacturing as well as industrial and virtual robotics and spoke with the scientists at the environmental campus.
During this visit, the humanoid robot Pepper again captivated the visitors. Furthermore, there was also a brief exchange about teaching robotics, by means of a “hot wire” set up at the UCB, which has to be programmed by students as a “hands-on” exercise, so that it completes the course automatically. Various topics empowering robotics, such as image processing and human-machine interaction, were also topics of exchange.
