On June 23rd, the Robotix-Academy was able to conduct another student workshop, this time at the Saarlouis Gymnasium am Stadtgarten (SGS). A good dozen high school students participated in the workshop on industrial robotics and human-technology interaction.
The Academy staff tried to get the youngsters excited about technology and thus appeal to the young researchers of tomorrow. They were happy to answer any questions from “What does an engineer actually do?” to “How exactly does a robot work?” In a playful way, the young people were able to learn how to program a robot and use practical exercises to test what they had learned.
The 10th and 11th grade students showed interest and participated actively in the MRK workshop of the Robotix Academy. The supervising teacher for mathematics and physics was also pleased about the cooperation of his students and thanked the organizers for the exciting offer.
