On November 30, the Ministry of the Interior and Sports of Rhineland-Palatinate invited to a digital information event on the topic “Europe in Rhineland-Palatinate – The new Interreg funding programs 2021-2027”.
Via the interactive platform GatherTown, participants were able to attend numerous presentations and panel discussions, as well as stroll through the virtual exhibition and gather information and exchange ideas with others at the numerous booths.
The thematic priorities of the five new Interreg funding programs 2021-2027 were presented, i.e. Interreg Greater Region, Upper Rhine, Meuse-Rhine, North-West Europe and Europe. Numerous program officers and contact persons guided through the all-day program and willingly provided information on the funding conditions of the new program period.
At times, up to 120 participants attended the event and informed themselves about the upcoming Interreg program period, which is entirely dominated by the European Green Deal and the effects of the Corona pandemic and focuses more on the topics of sustainability, climate protection and digitalization, as well as on a social and citizen-oriented Europe and better cooperation (governance).
