From Monday, February 05 to Friday, February 09, 2018, the University of Lorraine hosted for the fourth time the lecture “MRK in Industrial Robotics”, covering the key topics and main computational methods in robotics. Thirty-seven students from the University of Lorraine (Prof. Abba), but also from the University of Liège (Prof. Brüls), the University of Saarbrücken (Prof. Müller) and the University of Luxembourg (Prof. Plapper) came together for a whole week at ENIM, a mechanical engineering school.
During a visit to ENSAM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers), applications of robotic production systems were presented. Representatives from ABB and the Welding Institute demonstrated the opportunities they offer in the field of industrial robotics. New training modules were introduced this year, one for mobile robotics and one for robot parameter identification. In cross-cultural teams, the students had to implement various tasks on the industrial robots.
