The Robotix-Academy Conference for Industrial Robotics RACIR was organized by the University of Luxembourg on June 06 and 07, 2017. Oral presentations of 20 minutes each were given by participants from the different institutes: University of Luxembourg, Université de Liège, ZeMA (Saarbrücken), Université de Lorraine and Institut de Soudure. Industry representatives were also present at the conference: Amova S.à.r.l., Pôle MecaTech and Atelier Nic Georges.
The presentations had been classified into four thematic areas according to their research focus:
Human-Robot Cooperation
Dynamic robot control
Industrial task handling
Robot design
All project presentations led to a lively exchange between the participants: The questions as well as the ideas and technologies contributed will undoubtedly contribute to the progress of the research. In addition to the oral presentations, there will be a conference publication after the conference with all the contributions in the form of scientific articles.
To strengthen the cohesion between the participants and to give them the opportunity to get to know each other better outside the academic environment, a leisure activity on the climbing wall has been organized. After the successful start in Luxembourg, there will also be a Robotix Academy Conference for Industrial Robotics RACIR next year. This will then be held at one of the other partner locations.
